How to Play American Roulette

American Roulette is a game of chance that is played by bouncing a small round ball onto a spinning roulette wheel. When the wheel stops, the roulette ball comes to rest in one of the numbered slots or pockets. The object in playing American Roulette is to bet on the number, or combination of numbers, on which the roulette ball will land.

The American Roulette Wheel

What makes American Roulette different from other variations of roulette is that the American Roulette wheel has thirty-eight pockets, including a 0 (\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"zero\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"), a 00 (\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"double zero\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"), and the numbers 1 through 36. Another name for American Roulette is \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Double Zero Roulette.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" Naturally, American Roulette is the featured roulette game at casinos in the United States, and it can also be found in most online roulette casinos including Wild Jack Casino.
How to Play American Roulette

The goal in a game of American Roulette is to guess which number the roulette ball will fall on as it spins on the wheel. After the player places his bet on the roulette table, the dealer releases a small ball on to the spinning wheel (in the opposite direction of the spin). The ball ultimately stops in one of the numbered pockets of the roulette wheel and that is the winning roulette number.

There are two main types of roulette bets in American Roulette. They are called inside bets and outside bets. An inside bet is when the player bets on any roulette number from 0-36 (corresponding to the number on the pockets of the wheel) or on a small group of two, three, four, five, or six numbers. An outside bet is placed outside the roulette table layout and is placed on colours (red or black) or on larger combinations of twelve or eighteen numbers.

If you play American Roulette online, the roulette wheel and the roulette ball are virtual, and the dealer is actually a computer. Nevertheless, the effect is the same as if playing roulette with a real roulette ball rolling around inside a real roulette wheel that has been set in motion by a real human dealer. The online roulette game captures the look and feel, as well as the fair play and random results, of the traditional land-based roulette game.
How to Win at American Roulette

You win at roulette if the bouncing roulette ball lands on the colour, number, or combination of numbers that you have bet on. Depending on the type of bet you made, your winning roulette wager is returned to you at different payout rates. Winning bets in American Roulette pay out as follows:
A Straight bet pays 35:1;
A Split bet pays 17:1;
A Street bet pays 11:1;
A Square bet pays 8:1;
A Line bet pays 5:1;
A Column bet pays 2:1;
A Dozen bet pays 2:1;
An Even-Money bet pays1:1
